Bulk Excavations, Drainage, Roads and Foundations, Mallow
B & M O’Brien Brothers were engaged to carry out major groundworks for a new development in Mallow, Co. Cork, encompassing bulk excavations, drainage installation, road formation and foundation works across the site.
Our Kobelco SK230SR excavators were deployed to carry out large-scale cut and fill operations, stripping and shaping the site to formation level in preparation for the construction programme. The excavation works involved the removal and redistribution of significant volumes of material across the site to achieve the required levels.
In parallel, our team installed the foul and surface water drainage network, with precast concrete manholes and pipework laid to engineer-specified gradients throughout. Road formation works were progressed alongside, with sub-base preparation underway to bring the internal road network to kerb level.
Foundation excavations were completed to structural engineer’s specifications, with the site progressively handed over to follow-on trades as each zone was completed.
The project showcases our ability to manage multiple concurrent work packages across a large active construction site, delivering to programme with our own plant and experienced crews.
